PRO makes their Turnix shape into an Offroad Saddle. While the basic dimensions and shell are largely the same as the road version, there are notable differences.

First, a bit on the shape. PRO calls this semi-curved and claims its for flexible body types. But those names are relative and hard to define. So well do a little defining. Semi-curved puts it in the middle of saddle shapes, between curved and flat. They like this shape because it works for the vast majority of riders. They also define flexible as being able to touch your toes, or just able to touch them. But both of these are rough guides. If you like a saddle where youre kind of guided to a sweet spot, the Turnix has a good shape.

The padding and polyurethane cover have been changed for riding in the dirt. The padding is a bit different to account for the rougher ride and the cover has been toughened up, particularly with side bumpers, to improve durability. The nose, relative to the Griffon, is narrower.

The saddle also comes in three widths, 132, 142, 152mm, which is the widest point of the saddle as measured from under the saddle. If you want something that hews to a standard, then the 142mm width should be the default; it will work for most people. If you have a saddle and want a way to compare, measure your current saddle first to decide on widthmeasure the widest point from the bottom. If you keep on sliding forward, thats an indication your current saddle could be too wide, so youll want the narrower one. If you find yourself falling over the back, then you might want wider. Theyve also found that the more upright one sits, the better they typically do on a wider saddle.

As is PROs preference, theres a generous distance between the rails and the saddle shell. This is for both comfort, harder for your legs to get pinched between the saddle and rails, and for ease of adjustment.

The Turnix Offroad, like many PRO saddles, has an integrated accessory mount in the back. It can work with PROs saddle accessories including: a fender, repair kit, and camera mount.

There is one rail choice for the PRO Turnix Offroad. Round steel rails made of Inox steel. Weight is 222g for the 132mm width saddle.
