This is not a mini-pump! SILCA wants to make that fact crystal clear when it comes to their SILCA Pocket Impero Air Pump. It has an appearance of a mini- but it doesnt work like one.

It works like a short frame pump. Its eight inches long (20.3cm), weigh 5.3 ounces (150g), has SILCAs leather plunger washer, Impero head, and can take a road tire from flat to 89psi in 200 strokes (BikeRadar found this out).

The Impero head is made from CNC-machined aluminum and features the same elastomer washer (#323) in the head itself. The shaft is honed for roundness. Basically, all the pieces are well-designed, made from high-quality materials, and dont deform as they heat up, which is where most of the efficiency losses occur in mini-pumps. Theres even a silicone insulating sleeve to hold which keeps your hand from feeling the shaft heat up. It doubles as the handle lock when youre not using it.
